Project's aims
The Language Project COMENIUS 1 “ EUROPEAN CITIZEN YESTERDAY, TODAY, TOMORROW” between the Romanian School no.10 "Maria Rosetti", sector 2, Bucharest - coordinator teacher Emanuela POPESCU and the Italian School - Istituto Comprensivo "Giovanni
Paul II" - of ACILIA, 13th sector of Rome – coordinator teacher ILARIA FRIELLO has the following goals:
1) to develop the motivation and the ability of the pupils to communicate in various foreign languages;
2) to improve the knowledge of the history of UNITED EUROPE;
3) to improve the knowledge of the symbols and the structure of the European institutions;
4) to improve the knowledge of the capacities of active communication, of critical judgment, of cooperation and of the pacifically way of solving the conflicts, of active contribution at the social activities, and to improve the capacities of promoting and
defending the human rights.
5) to know better the values and the attitudes of the European citizen:the responsibility for his/her own actions, the concern/ attention for his personal development and for social change, the knowledge, acceptance and appreciation for
the diversity, for human dignity, social justice, democracy and the equality in front of the law.
The project lasts one scholastic year (2005-2006) and it consists in the implication of both the pupils and the teachers on developing the project theme.
The main feature of the Linguistic Projects is that this project also gives the participants the possibility to exchange pupils for a period of minimum14 days. The minimum age of the participants to this activity is 12 years. Teachers will accompany
the group of pupils.
